Researching inspiration for the album cover

The 1975

This group is very similar to the project that we are creating for the music video. Their album cover is very simple and plane. They use the logo and the name in neon light this is a suitable cover for an alternative band.

Bastille
This is another alternative band which targets the same audience, style and genre as our project. As you can see they have a specific cover per each song but the pictures are not really stylised and I would say random.

The Neighborhood

The NBHD cover is again very simple but attractive. They have a flipped picture of the cloud and the logo i the middle.

Here is other examples of album covers that will inspire us for our own. This examples include some artist that are not in the same music genre and not targeting our audience but still is very interesting and relative to our aims.

Audience Feedback

To get the feedback we decided to use various ways of surveys and questioners and interviews. Here is some examples:

1. We've created a SurveyMonkey account to get online feedback. Here is questions that we've asked.

2. The other more time-consuming method we've utilized is individual interviews.

" Stunning! It was a great idea to shoot a female dancer in slow-motion. What makes the video outstanding is that it was made in black & white.  Overall, your team has done an immense job."

Nick Galytskyy

"I think the editing work was truly 'flawless'! I've watched it 4 times over the weekend! Well done!"

Jason Mazzocci

Mainly the responses were positive but some of them were critical so they pointed at lack of story in the video. However most of the people enjoyed slow-mo shots of the band and the dancer and thought that image of the product is very attractive and looks professional. The black and white filter completes polished look of the video and massively supports it. White border gives video indie look and attracts attention.

Set Designe and it's Preparation!

The day before the shooting we decided to work on our set in advance in order to minimize the preparation time on the shooting day. The set was quite simple but to make it work we had to organize and make it work for us.
We started to glue the wallpaper to the cardboard but we've faced some problems with it as it had a very complex pattern and it was hard to connect them in the right place. Them we've tried to experiment with the paint and the result was very interesting so we decided to use it on the set the next day!

Also it was a very good chance to talk to people who will be able to take control of our sent and make it work. With their help we came to the group decision about the set.

I am doing research on videos that we can use for the projections for the music video.

And this vido inspired me on different patterns that we can use.
